I've been hearing a lot about cash gifting lately, so I decided to reprint a good blog article by Jason Glover

As enticing as Cash Gifting can be… And with all the hype about how you can make a ton of cash the easy way!

I have to ask, how is it possible to receive cash gifts through the mail without having any ramifications from the government?

I have done my research into this matter and I have come up with a few key points that makes sense to anyone that considers doing this type of online opportunity (scam, scheme)! Don’t get me wrong I initially thought cash gifting could be the ticket to freedom. But after looking into it…I changed my mind!

I understand getting cash gifts from family members and you are allowed up to $12,000 per person a year in your family. Sure you can give cash gift to other people too just as long as they didn’t ask for it…

So here are a couple things to chew on:

1) The law says that you cannot solicit anyone for cash gifting or teach anyone how to do cash gifting or put together any type of group that supports cash gifting! So if you get involved what are you doing?

2) If you decide to do cash gifting and lets say you are one of the lucky ones that hits it big, how are you going to spend your cash?
a) You can’t pay off your house with it…
b) You can’t pay off your credit cards with it…
c) You can’t buy a car with it!

It’s very difficult to spend cash without the government finding out! So let me ask you, if you already have a house, reputation in town, friends, family, etc… are you willing to lose everything you spent years to build?

Do you want to be the first one that the Government picks out of the pile of people doing cash gifting to show the world that they can take you and put you in jail for tax evasion or money laundering? Doubt it…

Email Customer Service for Your Online Business

You have your online business running. Sales are good. Your marketing campaign is bringing in new customers. Your business is growing. You are receiving emails about your service or product. Now what?

A person who emails you has an interest in your business. To delay a response or ignore this person would be the start of your business decline. This may not happen immediately, but eventually word of mouth would get around that you do not care for your customers or potential customers enough to provide good customer service. This will then lead people to go somewhere else for their purchases.

Here are some tips for effectively dealing with email.

Try and answer email within 24 hours minimum. The maximum time frame you would want is 48 hours. To accomplish this you will want to set aside time each day just to respond to emails. Some say three times a day, morning, mid afternoon, and evening is best as it ensures everyone gets a timely response.

Make sure you are courteous and professional. There are some times you just don’t feel like answering a question that has an answer plainly on your website or sales letter, or some question you feel is irrelevant or foolish and you feel the urge to send a fiery response. If you do not feel you can politely and professionally answer, take a break. Come back after you took some time to cool down. To the customer who asked this is an important part of their decision on whether they will do business with you or not. Do not push away a customer or potential customer with a hasty emotional response.

If you really dislike answering email or it becomes too much for you to keep up with, hire someone to do this task for you. You will want to choose this person carefully. Get someone who is friendly and knows your business. Find someone who has the time and English skills necessary to get a prompt and understandable reply back to the customer.

You will get some over and over. For these have a standard response set aside that you can cut and paste into your responding email and then tailor the rest of your response to that particular customers email.

Learn to use your email filters. This will automatically sort your email along with any junk mail you receive. The advantage now is if you set up folders for sales, customer inquiries, feedback and others. You can then prioritize your responses. Answer your email them in an order that you feel is important. You may want to respond to inquiries and feed back faster than sales. By using email filters you save time from having to separate into groups yourself.

We all understand that things do come up unexpectedly. This can cause a delay in responses. Make use of an auto responder, post it on your website, or send out a newsletter quick if something comes up. People are aware that things can happen and will understand just make sure you keep them informed on when they can expect a response.

If you pay attention to your customers’ and potential customers’ comments, questions, or concerns you will make them a happy and loyal group who will help build your sales. If you ignore them, they will go somewhere else, which of course, is the last thing you want.

The Two Types of Extra Income

There are two kinds of extra income you can earn from home– Linear and Residual.

Linear income is the extra income you earn on an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly basis. There is no more future commitment attached to it from either end. You are paid once for a product or service you provided.

Residual income is an extra income where you work hard once and reap the fruits of it for many years in the future. It is the reward for the same effort, but paid over and over again. One of the great advantages of residual income is that once things are set in motion, you continue making money from your initial efforts, while gaining time to devote to other things... such as generating more streams of residual income!

Some examples of residual income are writing a book and getting paid a royalty percentage for each book that sells, or purchasing real estate and getting extra income from rent payments.

In normal course of a career, most individuals earn a linear income through a job or a profession. You are earning only for the time you can spare on work on a daily basis. Some earn a higher linear income than others.

There is nothing wrong with earning some good, honest, "one-shot" linear income, but given a choice, which would you rather do: work hard and get paid only once, through linear income, or get paid continuously - perhaps for years or even the rest of your life - for hard work you perform only once, through residual income?

Most financially enlightened people try to shift to residual incomes from their linear incomes to have a secure retirement and future.

Financially successful people such as Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad) and Donald Trump understand the importance of this and recommend network marketing as a good way for the ordinary person to build a residual income. Starting one residual extra income effort a year would be a good way to build multiple streams of residual income.

The Internet gives a lot of options for network marketing and other extra income streams. You do have to be careful in selecting the right one from the mass of marketers by recognizing the hype from the straight talking ones.

Many of these programs have residual income components in them. Select one and give it everything you can, when you are earning solid residual income from it, start off with the next one.

The Real Truth about MLM and Network Marketing

Let me tell you the truth about MLM and network marketing-- most people who get involved in the business fail at it. The common figures tossed about on the Internet these days say that 95% of the people involved in MLM fail. I will argue that figure later, but for now, let’s just say maybe 9 out of every 10 people in network marketing will fail.

There are many reasons people fail in MLM. They may have gotten involved in a bad company with a poor compensation plan. The products may not be top quality or anything special, so there is no demand for them. They may have received little training, poor training, or even no training at all. They might have been abandoned by their sponsor. They may have had the wrong expectations-- thinking that the money will come pouring in without any effort on their part. But the biggest reason for MLM and network marketing failure is giving up!

On the other hand, compare this to traditional entrepreneurship, which has its problems, too. I am a college business professor, and I’ve had traditional businesses of my own, so I know the odd of success in starting up a traditional business are that 9 out of 10 new business will fail the first year. And then there is another 4 in 5 chance that those businesses who survived the first year will fail to make it to the fifth year.

Wow, when you consider the amount of money spent and/or borrowed to get those businesses running, that’s pretty scary! Add to that the time involved in running a small business. Often people put in 60+ hours a week, for less income than a job would give them. I’ve often seen dreamers who started their own traditional business find themselves crashing and burning with reality as they lost their credit, their homes, and in some cases marriages and families. Ouch!

I believe in entrepreneurship! I believe in the dream of having your own business-- no boss, no time card. Freedom to set your own hours, work where you want, live where you want, spend time with your family, travel and take time off whenever you want. Freedom. That’s what its all about! And it’s not traditional business that brings this freedom, it’s network marketing.

I’ll take the odds in MLM and network marketing any day! I’ll tell you why. If the 95% failure figure is correct, then it’s including all the people who just sign up to try the product, or decide for whatever reason they don’t want to work the business.

The truth is, for those who really want to work at this business, 95% of all people who stay with their network marketing company for 10 years will reach the highest level of their company’s compensation plan, which is usually at least $500,000 annually. And the income needed to start and run a network marketing business is nominal compared to a traditional business!

I’ll take those odds any day! You see, all you need to do is:

1) Find the best network marketing company you can.
2) Commit to learning and working your business.
3) And don’t quit.

Success in MLM and network marketing is a choice. Choose to do it!
